Most advice aimed at store owners is about the exciting 10%: the launch, the ad, the viral moment. Almost none of it is about the 90% that actually decides whether the brand lives: the operations underneath.

The real problem

What we did instead

We built an operating system for the boring layer and ran it on a real store first, in the open, before ever offering it to anyone else. The point wasn't to replace people. It was to take the relentless, low-judgment work off their plate so the judgment work got done.
